Da sucht man nichts ahnend nach einer Statistik über Jugendliche und landet beim Statistischen Jahrbuch. Neben meinem eigentlich gesuchten Daten hier ein paar bemerkenswerte Zahlen:

• 72 Kinder von Müttern unter 15 Jahren
• Männer heiraten im Durchschnitt mit 36,5 Jahren
• Die zweitgrößte Immigrantengruppe in Deutschland sind Italiener
• Ich gehöre zum geburtenreichsten Jahrgang der letzten 34 Jahre
• Zwar sind noch 80% der Männer zwischen 25 und 30 unverheiratet, uns stehen aber nur noch 65% unverheiratete Frauen gleichen Alters gegenüber
• Dazu gibt es auch noch einen Männerüberschuss
• 2006 war Leah der 10. häufigste in Deutschland vergebene Mädchenname (in 2004 sogar auf Platz 6)
• Leon ist der häufigste, 2006 vergebene, Jungenname. Hinzu kommt, dass Luca schon auf Platz 6 ist und Elias auf Platz 10
• Die Wahrscheinlichkeit nicht mehr am Leben zu sein liegt für einen 25jährigen bei 0,8%
• Frauen beantragen die Scheidung 1,5 mal so oft wie Männer
• Bis zum Jahr 2020 schrumpft die Altersgruppe der 15-20 Jährigen um 25%
• Niedersachsen ist das attraktivste Bundesland in Deutschland (Innerdeutsche Wanderung)
• Es ziehen 3.000 Bayern mehr im Jahr nach Baden-Württemberg als umgekehrt

PS: Und wenn wir schon dabei sind. Kleine statistische Bereinigung. Deutschland hat 1,3 Millionen Bewohner weniger als bisher vermutet. Na, ist ja nur die Bevölkerungszahl kleinerer Länder wie z.B. Estland.

Man muss umbedingt mehr raus! Dieses Jahr steht im Zeichen des Berliner Umlands. Ich hab mal wieder festgestellt, wie wenig ich doch aus der Umgebung kenne. Wünsdorf kenn ich, Potsdam ein bisschen, ich war auch schon mal in Oranienburg aber sonst siehts mau aus. Mit meinen Großeltern bin ich deshalb endlich mal in den Spreewald, was wirklich besser war, als ich mir hätte vorstellen können. Das ist ja sooo schön da. Und auch auf nem Kahn 4 Stunden rumgeschippert zu werden hat was!

Also gute Tipps für Ausflüge sind immer willkommen!

Not to spend Easter boring without family in Berlin, I was lucky to be invited by Magda to come to Lublin to have a polish family easter. Very cool, even I survived the high amounts of Vodka. Thanks to Magda, not only for having me at her place, but also for translating all the time.

Being in Poland also means to visit the Warsaw crew. Thanks for hosting me Anna and Jakub and thanks for Party and Library to all. And before going back to Berlin we had a small party and decided to join Jakub on his trip to Riga. 5 hours later, 5 people, 1 french car and a long funny ride.

After two days Riga, I took the driving seat, cause I was the only one without alcohol in my veins.

But I was not going back to Warsaw, cause being in Riga means visiting Vilnius too. And that, like Lublin was like a time machine! The cities are not changing that fast, and for me it was like nothing changed like I’ve been there the last time. Same pubs, same waiters and so on. And same friends!

So after a long time in Berlin I’m back on the road again. I do not really like writing about the normal life in Berlin, so it was quite calm here during the last weeks. But now I’m in Götenborg inside the office of ungmedia. I’m in Sweden since more than one week and it was quite nice!
Th only problem: to many people do understand German, so I can’t really write all the funny details about crazy Swedish people. So you will miss the peanuts stories, the quotations marks story and much more :)

So I’m in Sweden, not for sightseeing, but for visiting Magnus and the nice library of Lund most of the times. I think I’ve been there more than in the Potsdam one this year. We tried to work for university 4 hours a day and have some fun and work the rest of the time. It worked out quite good for the first six days, only now, during the weekend in Götenborg it’s more fun than university. But we did a lot. I’ve read all texts I had to read, worked on my empirical stuff and we did a lot for Youthphotos or better Ungbild.

For me it seems like a perfect model not to go stale at home, but still to get some work done. And let me say at least a little about Sweden, besides strange drinking behaviors, also the work at the libraries looks quite different. At least in Lund, where 1/3 of the population studies something. So what’s next? Poland perhaps.
